This was for a beautiful family with a potentially beautiful home. We came in and helped them from design through installation, bringing to life that curb appeal they were hoping for!
A play-ready family that wanted to take advantage of their existing large backyard:
New landscaping, Bluestone pathway, Decomposed Granite garden pathway for the kids to run through & synthetic turf to tie in with a putting green.
Although people can be fearful of that dry drought tolerant landscape there are many drought tolerant plants that can be used to create diverse landscapes. Traditional gardens, whimsical gardens, contemporary gardens, you name it.
In this case, the client wanted a way to escape at the end of the day into a rear yard oasis with a water feature and an intimate fire pit seating area. Add in a cozy lounge and drought-tolerant landscaping and we have a yard the client was very happy to call her own.
It doesn't hurt for your client to be a successful Interior Designer herself. Here we made a great design team, bringing about her designer's dream backyard living spaces.
This is such a great family with a big life, but unfortunate small yard. Here we accommodated to their full of life toddler as well as a young, hip couple, maximizing it's usability.
Here we transitioned this full backyard hillside into a terraced outdoor living space, on a budget. We created multiple lounge areas, a dining area and even a kid's play area.
The client wanted an intimate terrace living area while her dogs could play on a newly created lawn. With the client's vision of converting her existing hillside into a retained grass area we also added a new landscape design that compliments the whimsical details of the house itself.
We were asked to create a retreat for his family to relax in and enjoy year round. We did this by maximizing his lawn area, creating multiple sitting areas, adding a custom water wall and utilizing a relaxing play of plants to create the ambience he was looking for.
Here we created a traditional drought tolerant landscape. To spice things up we added a "dry river" made of large rocks. This helped to give the project more curb appeal, rather than having that "flat" drought tolerant landscape.
This couple decided to trade in their old pool and concrete yard for a lush living area so they could enjoy the year-round California weather. We added a large covered patio complete with fire pit lounge, custom bar-b-q and floating seating area.
